RVCC TO OFFER PROGRAM ABOUT NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
Raritan Valley Community College?s (RVCC) Corporate & Continuing Education (CCE) division is offering a four-session course in Introduction to Not-for-Profit Organizations. Classes will be held Wednesdays, April 2-23, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the College?s North Branch Campus.
The course includes information about becoming a 501(c) (3) entity and creating a company?s mission statement and strategic plans. Various types of not-for-profit organizations are also presented. Other topics include the role/job descriptions of various people associated with not-for-profit organizations, including members of the board of trustees (or directors), executive director, administrators, staff and volunteers. Fundraising sources and best practices?from sponsorships and collaborations, to endowments and capital campaigns?are also highlighted.
