RVCC PLANETARIUM SETS ?BEHIND-THE-SCENES? TALK ON KENNEDY SPACE CENTER
The Planetarium at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) in North Branch will present ?Launching DAWN (and Phoenix): From Behind the Scenes at Kennedy Space Center Press Site,? Wednesday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m.
The lecture, which is open to the public, will be given by Dr. Ken Kremer, a NASA JPL Solar System Ambassador and member of The Planetary Society.
Dr. Kremer will present a behind-the-scenes experience with the Space Press Corps at the Kennedy Space Center. His presentation will include an up-close and personal look at the newly launched NASA DAWN Asteroid Orbiter with top NASA scientists; information about the Phoenix mission to the Martian north polar icy soil; and images from the rovers Opportunity and Spirit.
Dr. Kremer is a research scientist and author whose articles have appeared in various magazines, journals and websites, including Astronomy Picture of the Day.
