RVCC TO OFFER NEW DEGREE IN WEB DEVELOPMENT

Beginning in the Fall Semester, Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) will be offering an Associate of Science (AS) Degree in Web Developer.

The program, which is designed for students who are interested in transferring to a four-year institution, presents students with the various aspects of web development and gives them both an academic and professional perspective. Students learn the theoretical principles of web page and web site development, providing them with a conceptual foundation as they employ the standard industry tools. The program also prepares students for careers as web page designers, web developers and web analysts.

The degree includes general education courses, as well as classes in such areas as Computer Concepts and Programming; Web Page Development; Interactive Multimedia; Internet & Web Architecture; Systems Analysis & Design; and Privacy, Ethics, Computer Forensics.
