AWS MIG WELDING

 

Everywhere you look you will see some type of type of welding, and with many people in this field reaching retirement age, there is always something going on in the world that generates the need for welders.

At the conclusion of this course, you will have a welding certificate and the opportunity to start working at a manufacturing job earning $14.50 to $15.50 an hour, with benefits, and the skills to do piece work, which could add $1,000 to $3,000 more to your annual salary.

This course is also for individuals simply curious about welding and its artistic capabilities.

This course will cover the following:

  • The concepts and fundamentals and best education practice methods to teach atomic structure, grain structure, heat flow, phase transformations, welding metallurgy, and the weldability of ferrous commercial alloys
  • The basics and principles of major joining and cutting process
  • The concepts and fundamentals of the weld quality and inspection methods, welding codes, specifications and safety

Upon successful completion of this course students will receive an AWS D1.1 structural welding code certifications for carbon steel, Gr A3
